Frequently Asked Questions

How to Order Prescription Medications from U.S.A. | News | Frequently Asked Questions | Place Your Order

1. Are the generic drugs that you sell safe?

Yes, Canadian generics are just as safe and effective as US generics. Just like the FDA in the US, Canada has a government agency that tightly monitors the safety and quality of all drugs sold in Canada.

2. Are your prices in US dollars or Canadian dollars?

All prices appearing on the website are in United States Dollars.

3. Can you transfer my prescription from my local pharmacy?

Sorry, at this time we cannot take transfers from your local pharmacy. We require that you get a prescription from your doctor and fax it to us.

4. Do you sell narcotics?

No, it is illegal for a Canadian pharmacy to mail a narcotic or controlled substance to a US resident.

5. Do you ship internationally?

No, we only ship to US and Canada at this time.

6. Do you ship to the United States?

Absolutely. Our pharmacy serves all 50 US States.

7. How can you sell some items without a prescription?

Some of the items featured on our website do not require a prescription in Canada, although they may require one in the USA.

8. How long are my refills good for?

You will have as many refills as your US doctor has authorized you to have on the prescription that you fax to us. The maximum your doctor can authorize is a one year supply.

9. How long will it take to get my order?

Prescription orders will be shipped within 5 business days of receiving your documents (prescriptions and ID). Once shipped, it will take 3-8 business days for delivery. OTC orders are shipped within 2 business days. All prescription orders are shipped via Canada Post Express mail (similar to USPS Priority Mail).

10. How much do you charge for shipping?

Any order containing a prescription item is charged a shipping fee of $10.00 USD. Your order can have several items in it but you will only be charged one shipping fee for the entire order. If your order contains only non-prescription items you may choose between a $5.00 USD shipping fee (8-12 business days) or $10.00 USD (3-8 business days.) Some over the counter items with excessive weight will only have the $10.00 shipping option.

For orders that are outsourced internationally an additional charge of $40.00 will be charged.

Save even more on your shipping, by placing an order for your family or friends together. As long as the shipping address is the same, all items can be delivered in the same order. Our shipping times are only 2-3 weeks.

We encourage you to compare our shipping price and cost to any other mail order pharmacy. Most pharmacies charge over $15 for shipping, and are expecting delays of up to 4-6 weeks for delivery!

Also, every order comes in the sealed box, with padding, so you can expect your items to be delivered without any damage at all. Some pharmacies are using envelopes for delivery, which may cause damage.

12. What about sales tax?

No sales tax is charged.

13. What are generic drugs?

When a drug company first invents a drug (eg. Prozac) that company is the only one allowed to make that drug for a certain number of years (approximately 10 years in the US and 5-7 years in Canada). After this time period, other companies are allowed to make the same drug. These drugs are called generics. The original drug (eg. Prozac) is called a brand name drug. Brand name drugs and their generics are IDENTICAL in terms of active ingredients. The generic pills may look different (because they are made by a different company) but inside is exactly the same active ingredient which works in exactly the same way. The only difference between brand name drugs and generic drugs is that generics are always less expensive.

14. What are your hours of operation?

We are open Monday to Friday 5:00am to 6:00pm PST. Saturdays we are available from 7:00am to 3:00pm PST.

16. What if I need to return my order?

Non-prescription items that are expired or damaged are eligible for return for a refund or credit within 15 days of receiving. Prescription items are not returnable. Shipping charges can only be refunded if the return is due to our error. All returns must be accompanied by the packing slip. After a returned item has been received, it will take 1-2 weeks to process the return. If using a credit card, refunds will be credited to your account. If paying by check or money order, a credit is placed on your account. We personally insure all parcels on your behalf.

17. What if you don't have all of the items in stock?

If an item you ordered is out of stock, we will order it from our supplier. If the item is not available from the supplier we will contact you and let you know.

18. Why do the pills I received look different than the ones I get from my local pharmacy?

Firstly, if you are used to Brand Name pills and you have ordered a Generic from us, the pills we send you WILL LOOK DIFFERENT. Generics do not look the same as the Brand Name products, even though they have the SAME ACTIVE INGREDIENT and work in EXACTLY THE SAME WAY. In addition, the same Brand Name pill may look slightly different in Canada than it does in the US. For example, Celexa 20MG is a peach colored pill in the US, yet the Canadaian pill is white and a little bit smaller than the US pill. Both pills are Celexa 20MG, both have the SAME ACTIVE INGREDIENT, and both are made by the SAME COMPANY. But, for whatever reason, the manufacturer decided to make the Canadian pill a different color. Lastly, when comparing 2 different Generics, they WILL LOOK DIFFERENT if they are made by 2 different companies.
